[title] Configuration for HALO Fan (PAPR)
[* green] A fan draws room air through an anesthesia viral filter to fill the halo bag. Full mobility is possible with a 12 volt battery pack.
[* black] 51 mm blower fan with 200 pascal static pressure isyields about idealideal flow. 150 pascal static pressure capacity is probable minimum that allows unencumbered activity.
[* icon_caution] Always verify your HALO maintains positive to neutral pressure even during inspirationinspiration - NEVER negative.
[* icon_note] 51 mm blower fan provides adequate air clearance and permits walking and stair climbing. This is my recommended configuration forI have spent hours in the Halo PAPRwith gas sample monitoring to verify flow adequacy.
[* violeticon_note] Alternative configuration is to replace both flutter valves with another two viral filters. This allows use of Halo PAPR in sterile environments without need for another mask inside PAPR.
