I had a lot of trouble successfully bridging the two resistors with the LED so I went with the alternate method of using one 1K resistor on the +5V lead and the LED on the Out lead, and bridged those two with a tiny jumper wire. This gives me a slightly more compact mod, and centers the LED on the board.
